Stephen Schoen is President and CEO of Schoen Insulation Services, Inc. (SIS). Stephen founded the company in 1989 with the mission of being the low cost supplier of non-metallic machined, turned and cut parts. With over 57 CNC (computer numerically controlled) mills, lathes and saws, SIS is the southeast United States’ largest non-metallic machine shop. The major markets served are Power Generation, Oil and Gas, Medical, Aerospace, Defense, Electrical, and Food Processing Equipment. The company has been built upon four key strategic relationships: customer, supplier, employee, and stock holder. Each relationship is treated with respect and dignity, thus enabling SIS to grow expansively over the past several years. Stephen’s daily business focus is on improving and expanding the revenue stream, improving plant productivity and quality, relationships b/t the customers, suppliers, and employees, and looking strategically to the future.
Stephen is active at Buckhead Church, and has led a small group through the church for 10 years. He also sits on the board of Habitat for Humanity North Central GA. He is married to Melanie and has 5 children. Three of his children are out of the house, one is a junior at the University of Alabama, and one is in first grade at MVPS.
