Michelle Dobbins currently serves as the Chief Financial Officer & Chief Compliance Officer of the hedge fund management firm, Masters Capital Management, LLC.  She has 15+ years in the financial services industry focused in the areas of finance, accounting and SEC compliance.  Prior to joining her current firm, she founded, owned and operated a fund administration firm for 13 years.  She successfully grew that company to 17 employees, where she and her team serviced 75+ clients with assets under management of approximately $2 billion prior to her decision to sell the company in 2013.
Her 20+ year professional career began in public accounting, with Arthur Andersen, where she worked with clients in the healthcare and manufacturing industries.  After leaving the firm, she served as the Accounting Manager at Northside Hospital.
Michelle’s volunteer work includes serving on the Southeastern Hedge Fund Association board which is an organization that provides a professional forum in the development of the southeastern alternative investment community.  Michelle also sits on the committee and grants sub-committee for Hedge Funds Care / Help for Children Southeast.  The organization’s primary focus and mission is preventing and treating child abuse.
Michelle is a graduate of the University of Florida and has one son, Andrew, who is a graduate of MVPS and is now enrolled in the honors program at the University of Georgia.  In her free time, she enjoys pottery, glass making and playing tennis and golf with her husband, Gray.
