Current Professional Role:

2011 – Present.  Chief Marketing Officer & Executive Vice President, Medecision, a healthcare IT company serving health plans, hospitals, care providers and other risk-bearing entities with platforms and applications to drive healthcare’s “Triple Aim” (lower costs, higher quality, better consumer satisfaction).   Role includes responsibility for brand, market positioning, solution marketing and product management, Medecision is a private, wholly owned subsidiary of Health Care Service Corporation (HCSC), which operates Blue Cross/Blue Shield plans in TX, IL, OK, NM and MN.  After 25 years as a leader in the care management sector, the Company is emerging as a platform and services provider, targeting the needs of a broader healthcare market – using two strategic acquisitions (HIE technology for platform data interchange and interoperability and a provider workflow suite with integrated analytics and outcomes reporting).

Previous experience:

Founder & Principal, Dalton Marketing Group (DMG), a marketing consultancy that defines and delivers top-line growth and bottom-line strength for for-profit and non-profit organizations including regional, national and global companies in industries as diverse as healthcare, entertainment, and manufacturing.  To ambitious, high-growth clients, DMG is differentiated by a focus on results — leads generated, sales pipeline filled, brand and industry awareness achieved, campaigns accomplished, customers retained and lifetime value maximized.   DMG’s healthcare clients included Ceridian Benefits, Magellan Health, Group & Pension Administrators and GTESS Corporation.

Interim VP, Marketing, GTESS Corporation, a $10M (revenue) venture-capital-backed software organization, providing SaaS healthcare claims processing services to healthcare payers.  Successfully acquired during on-going engagement in Spring, 2010.  Served on senior management team through two rounds of financing (raised $12M in venture funds); represented company in healthcare industry forums; managed $500K budget and small but effective staff.

VP, Worldwide Marketing, GTECH Corporation, a $1B+ (revenue) global systems, software and services provider.   Served on senior management team of NYSE-listed public company, with responsibilities for global marketing and communications goals, strategies and programs, managing a $15M annual budget, a 45-person organization and multiple programs aimed at generating 75% market share and YOY profitability.  Responsible for branding, product marketing, global sales support, biennial customer conference, industry presence. Helped build a brand equity strategy that still distinguishes the company in the government-sponsored gaming industry.
