Deborah (a.k.a. “DVK”) is a Senior Vice President, Sr. Group Account Director at BBDO. BBDO is the world’s most awarded advertising agency whose mission is to create great work that works great.
For the last 14 years, Deborah has played an instrumental role in leading pivotal brand advertising for BBDO in Atlanta. She led the team that helped launch the Cingular Wireless brand in 2001 and then helped Cingular through two successful brand transitions to the AT&T of today. As the nation’s most advertised brand, AT&T requires the development of thousands of pieces of communication a year. Deborah leads a team that provides strategic counsel and advertising development on a scale not typically found on most brands. Deborah has had experience in developing every type of communication imaginable from more traditional television commercials to documentaries to social-by-design efforts to physical installations.
Deborah has also worked to market brands such as ING Financial Services (now Voya), The Florida Department of Citrus and Embassy Suites Hotels.
Prior to BBDO Atlanta, Deborah worked in the New York office of BBDO. She developed integrated campaigns for brands as varied as Dell and the U.S. Navy Recruiting Command.
Deborah has managed integrated teams and programs that span every medium imaginable as well as leading in-depth consumer research to bring actionable insights to clients. She has a unique gift of being able to work effectively with two very different personality types: clients and creative people, to develop work that is recognized in the advertising industry as best in class, but also works to build businesses.
Deborah is a graduate of the University of Georgia Grady College of Journalism and serves on the UGA Department of Advertising and Public Relations Advisory Council. She is married, with two kids and a bernese mountain dog.
