Brent Reid joined The Winter Construction Company in 1984. In 1995 he became a principal of the firm and one of the company’s owners. In 2008, Brent led the senior management team in the buyout of the firm’s founder and majority shareholder.
As President and Chief Executive Officer of The Winter Construction Company since 2001, he is responsible for ensuring the operational and strategic success of the firm’s three business units: commercial, residential and environmental.
Brent currently serves as Treasurer of Atlanta’s Midtown Alliance and is a graduate of Leadership Atlanta. He is an Emeritus Board Member of the Environmental Engineering Program at Georgia Institute of Technology and is on the Executive Committee of the Dean’s Development Council for Georgia Tech. Additionally Brent chairs the Construction Advisory Board in the Environmental Engineering Program at Georgia Tech.
He also serves on the Advisory Board of the International Council of Shopping Center’s CenterBuild Conference and is a past chair of the CenterBuild conference. Brent is a past member of the Young President’s Organization and is currently a World President’s Organization member. He is also currently the Chair of the Council for Quality Growth, is a member of Zoo Atlanta’s Leadership Council and is on the Carter Center Board of Councilors. Brent is a full member of the Urban Land Institute.
Brent earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering from the Georgia Institute of Technology in 1982 and his Masters of Business Administration in 1988.
