Beth Friese is a learner, literacy educator, writer, and researcher. Beth recently served as the Chair of the American Library Association’s Committee on Literacy. She currently serves on the editorial boards of literacy journals and national literacy committees. Her work has appeared in Voices from the Middle, School Libraries Worldwide, English Teaching: Practice and Critique, and other literacy journals. During her doctoral work at the University of Georgia, Beth earned a number of awards for teaching and research excellence. She currently works as a literacy-focused school library media specialist in Gwinnett County Public Schools. She tweets as @librarybeth.
